  • The best sushi in Tallinn! I was losing hope of finding good sushi in the city and found Sakura, with incredible sushi, fusion options, and other Asian cuisine. My compliments to the chef for the menu, quality, originality, and variety. The atmosphere is immersive to the restaurant's theme, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

  • Today I visited a Japanese restaurant, Sakura Resto. I am glad that I found this wonderful place. The dishes are beautiful, fresh and very tasty. And the service is excellent. I will be glad to visit it again and I recommend it to others.)

  • Friendly but a bit slow service. The food was nice, however rice wasn’t done properly as it was falling apart not sticky at all and was hard to eat as everything was falling to the soy sauce. The fish itself tasted good and very fresh.

  • Phenomenal sushi; fresh clean and well balanced rolls. Soy sauce and wasabi were great as well which seems hard to find in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Good location, and servers were nice and friendly. Went early for lunch. It was packed by 12:15. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of fish in each roll. 10/10 recommend going. I’ll be back for dinner! *update* Went back for an early dinner and had the boa buns, and spring rolls. Both extremely well made. Thoughtful touches serving with the gloves so we didn’t make a mess of ourselves.

  • The interior was really lovely with a cozy Japanese feel, and the service was very friendly. Overall, the food was good — my favourite was definitely the Sushi 420, which was super tasty. The Tom Yum was very spicy, and I would have liked more shrimp and veggies in it. The meat in Gyuniku was very tender, and the pepper sauce had a strong kick. If you’re not into pepper, it might feel too much, but pepper lovers will enjoy it. The burger was great too, with a soft bun and juicy, flavourful chicken. The Unagi Don was mild and neutral in taste, the eel was delicious, though I wish there had been a bit more of it. So it’s a perfect option if you don’t want anything spicy. The mango mochi was very good, filled with mango sorbet. The matcha cake was also delicious—creamy and not too sweet—but the matcha flavour wasn’t very strong. So even if you’re not a matcha fan, you’d probably like it. Matcha lovers might say it doesn’t really taste like matcha because it lacked the usual grassy flavour. Bonus points for the fun presentation and nice serving dishes. The hot cocoa came in an adorable cup. I also recommend ordering one of their teas—€5 for a cute little teapot. It’s meant for two people, but if you’re not heavy tea drinkers, it can easily serve four small Japanese teacups. The tea selection was pleasantly large too. Prices and pictures: 16.11.2025 Update: The best of all the sushi was the PRAWN PHILA MAKI, with the avocado on top adding creaminess and the shrimp inside giving a some crunch. The 420 was also good, while the JOKO felt the most boring. The chicken poke bowl didn’t look like anything special, but it tasted surprisingly good—the chicken was nicely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Prawn Crunch was just as good as crispy shrimp should be.
